This policy describes how Jotish handles information when you use our website, APIs and connected tools.

Information we use

To calculate a chart, we process the birth date, time and place you provide, along with your selected calculation settings. If you choose to save a chart, we store its label and birth details with an identifier for your signed-in account. Our services may also process technical information such as IP address and request information for operation and security.

How we use and share information

We use information to provide calculations and requested features, maintain the service, protect against misuse and comply with applicable law. Cloudflare provides hosting and storage. When you search for a place, your search text is sent to the Photon location-search service. If you sign in through Google, Google processes your sign-in. If you authorize a connected application, that application can access the information covered by the permissions you grant; its own privacy practices also apply.

Browser storage

We use browser storage for preferences such as language, chart style, naming and calculation rules. Authentication and connected services may use cookies or similar technologies. You can manage browser storage through your browser settings, although clearing it may remove saved preferences or affect sign-in.

Retention and choices

Saved charts are removed when you delete your account or delete the chart. Copies may remain in backups or logs for a period. You can delete your account and saved charts. A connected client that supports saved-chart deletion can also delete an individual chart. A pseudonymous security marker is retained to invalidate older access. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of personal information, or to object to or limit certain processing.

Security and third parties

We use measures intended to protect information, but no service can guarantee absolute security. Third-party services you choose to use have their own privacy policies.
